Meet Dr. Tooher

Dr. Tooher grew up in Portland, attending all the primary schools along Stevens Avenue and developing deep roots in the local community. He studied electrical and computer engineering at the University of Maine and spent a few years working in the tech industry before realizing he was searching for something more. After shadowing in a dental office, he discovered a passion for dentistry and the opportunity it offered to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.

In 2018, Dr. Tooher began his dental education at the University of New England, where he developed a strong foundation in both clinical care and patient connection. Since graduating, he has worked in both private practice and public health settings, gaining a wide range of experience. Opening his own practice in the community he grew up in has long been a dream, and he is honored to be able to give back and build lasting relationships with his patients.

Outside the office, Dr. Tooher enjoys playing pickleball, exploring Maine’s outdoors in the warmer months, and spending quality time with his wife, Bri.
